Vidas grew up in Toronto and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School.
Immediately after completing the bar admission course
and receiving his call to the bar, he moved to the Collingwood area and has been practising law here since that time.
One of his main areas of practice is that of real estate. Vidas does extensive work in the area of residential and commercial real estate sales, purchases
and mortgage financing. As well, his real estate practice includes a substantial amount of real estate development work. He acts for developers in residential real estate development and has represented municipal interests in the development process for many years.
During his years of practice Vidas has also had extensive experience in the drafting of wills, estate planning, and the administration of estates.
During the time that Vidas has resided in the Town of Collingwood, he has been involved in numerous community service projects. These include past Director of the Collingwood Junior Hockey Club, past Director of the Collingwood Chamber of Commerce, past Director and President of Collingwood Community Living, Director of United Way of South Georgian Bay, past President of the Wasaga Beach Rotary Club, and current member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Simcoe County Law Association.
