Stella attended Carleton University in Ottawa where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications (Honours) in 1988.  She was awarded a bursary  from the Canadian Association of Broadcasters.  Stella received her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1991 from the University of Windsor.  Entertainment/libel law were included in her third year studies at the University of Detroit. Stella was called to the Bar in 1993.

Stella’s practice focuses on all aspects of family law including custody, support, property division, separation agreements along with cohabitation and marriage contracts, and negotiating settlements.  Stella has appeared before the General Division and Superior Courts.  She recently completed the Collaborative Law Level I Training.  Her civil litigation experience includes power of sale and various collection matters, and construction lien. She also practices in the area of estate planning (wills, powers of attorney, court applications).

Stella is a member of the Canadian Federation of University Women, and has volunteered as a host for an international student through the local Rotary Club.

Stella has a close working relationship with the local women’s shelter and accepts legal aid applicants.

Stella is a resident of Collingwood, and enjoys skiing, cycling, and other activities year round with her daughter.
